Iowa

We have a funeral in Iowa today. We need to get on the road by 5am to make the church on time, as they say. So I set my alarm, make sure the radio is turned up loudly enough to wake me at 4am, and what time do I wake up? TWO. Two o'clock in the morning. Oh good grief. Can I go back to sleep? NO. My head is thinking about all the things I might forget for a day trip 5 hours away. What on earth do I think I need? Dress? (yes I do wear them on occasion) Check. Shoes? Check. Book? Check. Pantyhose? Um, nope, never again--but that's another blog.
Now wrack your brain to think of something you might need and will be bumming you forgot.....
Think...

I was up at 3am and I didn't even have to pack for a 5hr. trip to Iowa. I think Anna wakes me up at that time of day just to see if I can make it all day 'til bedtime. Just for fun, cause she can.

I always get freaked out about forgetting something when going on a trip, but then I figured out that there is always a Wal-mart.

On the way to the marriage retreat 2 summers ago we were almost out of the driveway when I realized I didn't pack any underwear. When we got to the retreat I "shared" that info with someone. Tim was soooo embarrassed. We have been in couples cell group since then and he is now used to the idea of "sharing" info.

I'll second that Kim. So far Pat and I have forgotten folding chairs, a Bible, towels and shoes for the Marriage Retreat. But I could pack an extra pair for ya, just in case.
