That's More Like It!

Tah-welve inches of snow last night. Ha Chaa!
Got a call from Hannah at 1:30a and her car was stuck in the snow, John put on his woolies and went off into the blizzard to get her home. Going out in weather like that is something John loves--notsomuch in the middle of the night, but a challenge nonetheless. They came driving in about 2:45a and hit the hay. This morning, as I was getting the snow brushed off my car, the plow went by, so I knew the road was ok, but the driveway, now that was a different story. Our house faces south, and with that wicked wind from the east, the drive was drifted full. All the tracks John and Hannah left last night were full of snow. So did I shovel? Hello! I am woman, hear my tires spin. I figure if I am still moving why get out and shovel? Yes, I probably burned a thousand or so miles from the ol' tires, but I got out, and that was the goal.
Off to Coon Rapids this afternoon for Jacob and Shannon's birthday party.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANNON!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!!

My husband, the winter enthusiast, was giggling like a schoolgirl when the snow started coming down yesterday afternoon. Walking around rubbing his hands together in that evilish "I-have-a-plan" way, singing "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.". Me? I'm in front of the fire with a good book.

Opposites attract. Go figure.

I also think it is way more fun to try to plow through the pile of snow on the driveway rather than shovel it. I also think it would be kind fun to drive one of those huge snow plows (not in the middle of the night or early in the morning though). It seems like you would feel kind of powerful plowing through HUGE piles of snow. Also if I owned a huge plow I would plow all the snow in my yard into one big pile!!!!

Pat and I were out at 10pm last night and racing for the shovels. WE LOVE TO SHOVEL! In fact, he used to be disappointed if I didn't leave him any snow to shovel.

Hey Erin,
I grew up in ND where shoveling was THE family pasttime. You're weird.
