Yeah, yeah, I know, blogging at 5am. Brandy will yell at me, but at least I didn't start when I woke up at 2:30...
Too many things in my head for normal sleepingness. VBS starts today. We already have 180 children signed up, and I'm sure 30 or 40 more will come in and sign up this am. WHEW! So I stay awake thinking about things I really HAVE to remember, although as tired as I am going to be, I'll probably forget half of them. Vicious circle. That's why I have other ladies working in the kitchen with me I guess. They can be my brain today. I'll need them!
Speaking of VBS, I was looking in the Hudson paper this morning and one of the churches in town had a pirate-theme VBS. HUH? I think that is taking the Veggie Tales movies a little too far. But then again, the children don't have to do anything...they just stay at home and lie around.

I forget...which apostle was a pirate? I guess the picture of the fishers of men with eyepatches and hook hands was missing from my bible.
We are the kitchen workers who don't do anything. We just stay home and lie around! And if you ask us to do anything--we'll just tell you, we don't do anything!
I'm praying for all of you this week. Think of all the little lives you are blessing and all the seeds you will have a hand in planting!
I just have to add, now that the first day is done...WE ROCK!! We are like a well olive-oiled machine in that kitchen! We should teach classes we are so good. Sha-zang!
This is true. We have cultivated a wonderful team over the years. No wonder the kitchen--even at 90+ degrees--is the "place to be at VBS"!
i'm gonna walk in one day and pull a paul... after you're all done with everything i'll walk in and ask if you need any help
