Quarter Inch Seams In My Dreams

Hello Friends!!!
Back from the quilt retreat last night. I would have blogged but I had a program at church, and I was too stinkin' tired. Stayed up later than I have for years this weekend, but Dawne and Marjie have the record--14 and 14.5 hours of sleep (respectively) from Thurs to Sun. Whew! I don't know how they do it.
Every year the retreat gets better. We laughed so much this time, a lot of the ladies couldn't breathe, much less talk. Dawne chose a skit that we made funnier than it was written, and we kept them in stitches.....so to speak. Mary and Carolyn got their jammies sewn closed by some imps, but even with all the play we really got a lot of work done. I did finish 14 blocks of the quilt--one third of the way. I thought the class was on Friday, so I would have time to make a bunch of progress, but it wasn't until Sat. So, not as much time as I had hoped, but the blocks are not hard, although each one takes about a half-hour. I will continue to work on it at home and surely I will have it done by June 10th. I hope.
Tonight we go to the Middle School to have Eli try out for the band. He wants to play the saxophone. Since Hannah has been coaching him, not only can he make a noise with the thing, he can play a scale, I don't think we will have a disappointed boy on our hands. I toyed with the idea of having them share the sax, but I don't think that would be fair, so off we go on the everlovin' instrument payment plan again. Last time it was a flute--I think it will be more interesting this time, no? He's worth it.

My mom plays sax...it's worth it!

Thanks so much for the comment. It's been a pretty rough day, and to be able to just laugh for a few minutes was really, really nice!

Thanks Joey. I really didn't know if I should put that on there, but my daughter said if you are as you say you are, you'd laugh. I'm glad you took it in the manner given.
