Goin' Quiltin

I chose this title because it always makes Kelli sing the Goin' Courtin'" song from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers in her head the whole day--you're welcome.
Off to the quilt retreat today! I'm using my precious packing-because-I've-left-everything-to-the-last-minute-time to talk to all of you. Feel special? That's cuz you are.
Really mostly ready in my head this time--I always feel that way until I get there and think, "Why didn't I bring this, and this, and this?" and wind up buying it in a town a few (that's country talk for a 1/2 hour drive) miles away. I only have one project to do this weekend, but I'm not telling who for (Kaui) for fear it won't turn out. Usually I get all hyped up about what I'm making, tell everyone, and it sits in a drawer until the tenth of Novdecemfebmay. For example, this weekend I'm finishing a project I started for the vet when Tick died, two years ago! Sick!
But there is much time this time, and I will try my best. I'm only bringing two books, so I can have some time to sew... and I have my trusty bifocals, so I can see the stitching. Yes, I said bifocals. I am officially old. Come to think of it, this is the third or fourth "officially old" event--maybe more, I forget--hey, there's another one!
Ok, enough yappin'. See you on Monday.
