Remember Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams? "If you build it, he will come..."
I made up my own this morning, not that I'm a pessimist or anything.
If you wash it, it will snow.
I spent my last $6 on a car wash last night. Guess what I saw this am? Yep.
Got a bit of wisdom from the boy on the way home--"Mom, if I had a limited amount of money every week, I don't think I would waste it on a car wash."
John was so proud.

Now that is funny. By the way, the song was "East to West" by Casting Crowns...
I believe that would fall under the "Shut up" heading. Not that I would ever encourage you to tell your son (or your husband, for that matter) to shut up. After all, you have to live with them.
Might I suggest that, instead, you tell Eli that he can wash it for free from now on and that will save you the $6!
Voila! Problem solved.
That was Eli's idea--wash the car at home and save money! He's Poppers' boy for sure. I would be willing to pay him for car washes in the summer, but now that frozen hozen thing--little tough.
none taken--that was funny!
Good story, Kristi. I find myself wondering exactly how our cars get so dirty in the winter, anyway. Mine looks horrible right now.
I took Eli's advice and just stopped washing it. Spring will come soon enough... (Shh...don't tell Ed though).
I was soooo close to saying what Katie said, but John knows where I live...
That was funny, Katie.
If I had six bucks, and it was my last bit of change, I'd go to Chipotle and buy the fajita rice bowl.
Kristi--you're a hoot!
Coffeegirl, me too...good idea.
Sheri I like you that way.
