Today I went to CUB Foods. I had a ton of coupons from the paper, most of them were buy one item get TWO FREE!!! Can you believe it? When I got into the store, there was another coupon book for the taking. I looked through that one and picked a couple coupons out of there. Went 'round the store gathering my goodies, got to the checkout and started getting a little nervous as the total was waaaay above what I normally spend on groceries in a week.
Then the cashier started scanning the coupons.
Ready?
Grocery total: $195.
Coupon total: $101.
Final cost: $94.
Ahem,
HACHAAA!

You win!! That is one amazing shoppin story! WOOT!
Okay, okay...I'm so happy for you..let me add to the joy of your next trip to Cub and anyone else out there. Did you know....drum roll please..that Cub takes expired manufacturer coupons? They will take them three months past their expiration. AND...it gets better, people. If you have a Cub coupon for Cheerios (for example), you can also use a manufacturers coupon for Cheerios and get even more off. I can't wait to look at my Cub add! Way to go, Kristi!
No stinkin' way! Okay - if I ever decide to shop for groceries, I'll ask you for lessons first... :-)
And, people, save those receipts, cuz you can use them to save on gas at Holiday stores. They'll take one cent per gallon off for every ten dollars and you can use up to three receipts per visit. I think they allow the discount up to 12 gallons.
Double Woot!!
I totally forgot about the 19 cents a gallon I get to save on gas today!!
NO WAY! that is awesome!!! i feel pretty good when i use a manufacturers coup and then a cub one on the same item, but that shopping trip takes the cake!
YOU GO GIRL!

You rock!
I'm stunned! That is incredible! Well done Kristi! I love coupons! I used coupons last week and ended up paying 1.37/box for Lucky Charms (Joey's favorite)! Nothing like some serious savings to make you feel satisfied!
I knew my wife would have a comment in here...she's a coupon junkie!! :)
