Eli got into the car this afternoon tired but shining. He loved the practice and I am the proud mama of a defensive lineman. I suppose I should learn a little more about football now...
He told me that he didn't want to go to practice tomorrow, however.
"Why not?" I asked.
"They're going to make us run the ____ ."(I have forgotten what they call it, suffice it to say it is a long run)
I told him that this is probably the coach's way of seeing who really wants to play football and who is just there for fun. I asked him if there were a lot of boys that were going to skip practice tomorrow.
"Yeah."
"Knowing what you know now, do you want to be one of them?"
"No way!"
YESSSSS.

How cool! Won't you have fun cheering on your boy? He'll be easy to spot too because Eli will be the only guy out there with pink puffy paint on his cleats.
I love that little man
Good job, Mamma!
Let us know when the first game is so we can come cheer!!
Rich could probably give you a tutorial in football if you need. : )
Well, I sure could use a brush-up. Eli's first game is Sept. 13th, time and location to be announced...
