Or it would have been had it not been a Sunday...
Yes I waited until the last minute. We owe to Fed, so I figure they can wait for their money--they waste too much anyway.
John went and talked to the dad of the boy who hit Eli. I guess this boy has been in trouble before--seems like he has older friends who egg him on and he complies. Maybe this will change his behavior. He got suspended for three days from school. I still haven't found out how long the fire-starter boy will be off the bus.
The shiny spot today is that it's my girl-in-law's birthday. We are so happy to have her in our family. She is one special woman.
Happy Birthday Kaui!

I'd been wondering about the Eli situation. Glad to hear it worked out.
And taxes...ugh. Don't get me started.
I'm glad everything worked out...so far with Eli. Keep us posted. Middle / high school sucks. I feel bad for him. Happy Birthday, Kaui!
When I was a kid; from 7th grade on, the teachers put me at a table with the kids who got picked on and the bullies who picked on 'em. I got a grade bump if everyone played nice. (I was a really tough little bastard) I got expelled once in 8th grade for dropping a kid out the library window onto the pavement in front of the principal's office and for beating another kid so badly that when he returned to school 2 weeks later, his eyes looked like toasted marshmallows (He'd jumped me.); they let me back if I'd agree to go to the high school on the other side of town for 9th grade. I almost got expelled in my sophomore year for mauling the car of the senior that tried to run me over with his car; did get expelled in my senior year because I wouldn't let the FCA jocks break up my friend's fight with someone that had tried to rape his girlfriend; they graduated me so that I wouldn't come back the next year. Army Rangers have to come from somewhere, but if someone bullies my kids...their dad is in for a rude shock.
