My sister Kandi had no daycare this week so I took a week of vacation and told her I would watch Jacob. Jacob is three going on 15, and too smart for his age. He kept escaping out the back deck door, so I was going to lock it. I was having trouble turning the stuck lock, so he came and told me how to work it. I told Kandi this morning, so I am not telling you something she doesn't know, but I am waaaay toooooo old for this.
We went to Karli's this morning for some playtime, he with Nathan and me with Nathan's mom. I needed to get and give some sympathy for this daycare thing. Karli was very sympathetic, I was just pathetic. We had a good chat around the boys' noise, and I felt better--thanks Karli.
I put Jacob down for a nap when we got home from our playdate and after lunch, which he wouldn't eat, grabbed some laundry, finished my lunch and hit the hay. He woke up first. He asked me why I was in bed, and told me it was time to get up! I said I didn't want to. Took some more laundry downstairs, fed the fish, Jacob watched them eat, and lo and behold! The computer is in the same room as the aquarium! I was looking at blogs, reading about how we tired Nathan out so badly he had a meltdown, and laughing at Erin's picture of the gig, and Jacob told me I wasn't supposed to laugh. Well, let me tell you no three year old is going to get away with telling me when I can laugh and when I shouldn't. I banished him to the tv. That'll teach him to mouth off to me, by golly.
Oh, by the way go here and see how much fun we had on Saturday.
