apostrophe's

My grandmother was an English teacher. Yeah. Therefore, I rarely end a sentence with a preposition, use the word lay when I should be saying lie, and am an absolute freak when it comes to using apostrophes. What is the trend today with using apostrophes for plural words? The other day I saw an ad on TV for a lingerie shop and they were selling "bra's" at discount prices. My grandma is rolling--no, spinning like a turkey on a rotissere in her grave right now!! Creative use of an apostrophe is one thing I have yet to understand. Who is teaching these people? What is so hard to get here? Plural word, no apostrophe. Easy right? Sheesh. I'm sure people get really tired of me correcting them all the time, but it really sets my teeth on edge. Worse than someone going 65 in the middle lane of the freeway--but don't get me started with that one.
I could go on and on, but I guess those of you who know me have heard it already.
Last night we were playing cards and Alex corrected my grammar. Gotta love it--pass it on.
