Saturday Eli wanted to pick and sell his pumpkins from the pumpkin patch. We grew some nice ones this year and he was looking to make some dough.
Some serious dough...(you Uncle Buck fans will appreciate that line)
I told Eli to ask the neighbor on the corner if he could park the truck in his driveway and sell, and I asked John to spell out the word "pumpkin" on a piece of paper so Eli would spell it right on the sign.
As I turned the corner I saw Eli and two friends in the truck, his sign prominently displayed on the back of the truck.
Here's what it said:
Pumpkins
$3 and $5 Dollers.
Oh well.
In Eli's defense, it was his friend who argued with him about how to spell "dollars" and Eli was right on the spelling, but his friend won the argument.
