Friends, Romans, Contrymen,
It's been quite a week!
Remember the cabin I got in the silent auction? We had it reserved for this week, and on Thursday last week the owner called me and told me they were having an issue with a construction project they were trying to complete on the cabin, that it wouldn't be finished by the start of the week, and that they would be putting us up in the condo down the street.
I began to worry a little bit.
The "what-ifs" entered my brain.
You know thase dreadful "what-ifs", right?
I had nothing to worry about let me tell you.
We arrived at the place (palace) and I was unsure if this beautiful thing was what the owner had been talking about. Ohmygoodness.
Three bedrooms, 3.5 baths and a whole lot of knotty pine splendor. The front overlooked the lake and had a 30' peak ceiling full of windows, which I might add was awesome for stargazing indoors.
We had ample space for visitors, and were happy to share!
The lake was sandy and warm, even though the weather was not most days--who cares--and John was in fishing heaven. Especially when he found out that on that lake there is no size limit on bass. Whoop! He went fishing almost every day and I lounged and explored the nearby towns and watched movies and cleaned.
Thank you big bunches to the Zehm brothers for a fantastic place to stay, and a great time!
