Golden Plump Indeed

Today I was picking up something for church at The-Store-I-Don't-Shop-At-Anymore and as I was walking past the meat dept I thought maybe I would pick up a whole chicken to cook tonight. I took a look at the roaster chickens and had to do a double-take.
Fifteen dollars.
BuhWha?
Yep. Fifteen dollars for a chicken.
I looked closer at the label, thinking I must be mistaken, and I read the fine print: "Stuffed with gold bars."
Oh, ok then. Better be.

Ok, I'm kidding about the gold bars, but I was not kidding about the $15 chicken. Good grief.

Hey Kristi,
They had $15 chickens at my store today, too. But I found a "Manager's Special" with today's date on it... 6# chicken for $5 something. But then when i got it home, the bag holding the chicken is leaking chicken juice (ewwwwwww. i have a thing about leaking goo.)

Would you take it back to the store?

(I asked the manager about the price, and he just said to cook it or freeze it today.) (I didn't notice the leaking in the store. Maybe I poked the bag??)
eww.
