Yesterday as we were contemplating temps in the negative teens with windchills in the negative thirties, I called one of the Commanders of our AWANA program.
I put on my best Chinese voice and asked her if AWANA would be canceled that evening.
It went something like this:
"Uh, herro, I am concern pawent an I wan to know if you AWANA or not tonii. You cancer AWANA? Cancer? Too cowd, too cowd."
But the lady I called was quick on her feet and I got this response,
"I'm sorry ma'am, I can't understand you, I'm from North Dakota."
