Wrong Answer Little Girl

Eli lost his phone for some bad choices and being a mom, I decided to take a look at his texts. Before you go crying invasion of privacy, this is a condition of having a phone in our house. He knows I read them and he has been told to tell (warn) his friends that I read them.
So here's what's on there today-- from a girl no less.
"The kings that make me happy: drin-king, smo-king,..."--the rest I'll leave up to your imagination, but the "kings" all had to do with sex.
I texted her to stop sending that kind of crap and she told me that I am going to have to get used to that stuff as I get older, that she thought it was funny.
I texted her that I AM older that I am Eli's mom. She texted back that she was aware of that.
Well then. I don't think she's as aware as she's gonna be. Doesn't take too much to find a phone number and who it belongs to these days.

I'm thinking..working on respect, talking with interested parents and ducking her head.

Many mommas joining you in support. That girl NEEDS you to follow up on this! We have very similar "privacy" laws in our house. It all comes under the banner of love.

Ugh! kids are so bratty! I just watched two teens who stole from girl scouts on Joeprah's blog and they were completely unapologetic right on the news!

Just so you all know, she did apologize.
But I looked up her parents anyway...

Good for you for caring. That is rare these days.
