As we passed the Iowa state line Eli declared,
"Hey, the grass IS greener on this side."
When Carolyn caught Bill's hiner in the lens of the camera and threatened to have me put that picture on the blog, Bill threatened to do likewise. Then he looked at me and said, "Wait, Kristi, how big is your blog?" Ooh, burn.
The theme of Gala Days was "Cruisin' Through the Fifties". There were many laughs about certain rellies who were cruisin' through their own fifties ifyaknowwhatimean...

I have my own set of Iowa rellies (shouldn't everyone?)--corn fields, soybeans, and a hog farm you can smell for miles around!
You make me long to get back for the county fair.
Next year, we may have to do something about Bill's comments!!

We lived in Iowa for 2 1/2 years, it was so relaxing, love the small town atmosphere!
