Two--count 'em two people got me good on the phone today. I called the Smith's house and I don't remember what Jeffrey answered, but even though my cell phone read "Kelli" and I KNEW I was calling the right number, I said, "Sorry I have the wrong number." He started laughing and I knew I'd been gotten. I told him next time answer "Tea for Two Chinese Restaurant" and then I'd know it was him.
Then tonight I got a caller asking for "Mr. John Noser" I told them he was sleeping and Eli--the caller--started to laugh. Totally got me. Why would I ever think he would ask for Mr. John Noser?
I'm such a suckah.
