One of our favorite games on road trips is a Mckinney-made game that really has no name, but for blogpurpose, I'll call it Roundabout (keeping with the road theme and all).
It starts with someone saying a phrase--really anything--and the next person has to take the last word of said phrase and start a new phrase.
Lemme giveya zample.
That's the breaks
Brake for pedestrians
Pedestrian crossing
Crossing over
Over the rainbow...
And on and on until either someone can't think of ANYTHING--please, when does that ever happen in our family--or a full circle is made, resulting in a victory. A full circle is made when the phrase you say ends with a word in the first phrase, in this case, "breaks" (or brakes--we care not about homophones--perfectly legal)
Sometimes these games take a long time, sometimes they are finished in minutes. Always fun to see what everyone can conjure up, and how fast the circle can be made.
Give it a try!

Hi, Kristi,
I think I've been sort of a lurker for awhile, reading but not commenting.....until today, when I read your post entitled "Putz." I nearly died laughing. I work for a concrete company, so I happen to know that the funny looking machine being hauled in front of you was a concrete pump. Putzmeister made ALL of our trucks and pumps. I've long thought that was a hysterical name. I even have a hard hat with that on it! My boss tells me that the company is German, which helps only a little. I'd like to think his marketing people would have pointed out that that wasn't going to sound as savvy in the US. (It reminds me of when Chevy sent their Nova to Mexico and no one would buy it. "No va" in SPanish means "doesn't go." Ha!)
Anyhow, just thought I'd stop in and let you know I appreciated the humor in that one. In a big way!
Blessings,
Jess
