New carpet installation: March 23
First stain: April 12
Just about three weeks, not bad. I guess Eddie somehow got hold of John's Chapstick (never again will I buy the red stuff I don't care how much he likes it) and chewed it up on the new carpet.
Only a small mark, but it wouldn't come out with the carpet stain remover I had. Bummer.
Oh well, I'll just think of it as the champagne bottle hitting the ship.

Let's Brainstorm.....
So, Chapstick seems to be kind of wax based. Waxy. So when you have a candle it is wax based and it melts with heat. What if you put a paper towel over the chapstick stain and rub a warm iron over it on a very low setting? Do you think that might melt the wax and pull it up onto the paper towel? Just an experiment- never tried it-guess it can't hurt~
Just don't melt your carpet!!
I think LL may be on to something.
Sorry about the stain. It had to happen.
Can't even see it.
Call Ryan?
Doh!! So sorry about your pretty, new carpet! Yeah, I've burned my couch trying to use a warm iron to lift a chocolate stain. I hated that couch anyway.
I know what will help--Awesome cleaner from the Dollar tree. I ised it to get up dark pink lipstick from our creamy carpet.
Just the plain old Awesome (not the orange kind) It cleans up everything including dried blood. Alcohol usually works wonders too. Not the kind you drink though, save that for dinner & use the rubbing kind. Where's Heloise when you need her?
Kristi,
I use spot shot-the blue and orange can at Target or Walmart. Pretty soon that spot will have so much junk on it you will not even notice!! HA
you handled the stain on the new carpet better than I would've, lol.
