Irony At Its Finest--Criminal Edition

I have a friend who drives a school bus. The other day he got hit by a hit-and-run driver. He got on the radio, called the police and made sure the children were all ok. He got out of the bus to see the damage and saw the other guy's bumper on the street, license plate attached.

Haha!
$10 says the bumper had a Kerry/Edwards 04 sticker on it.

My 15 year old read this and asked, "Why is that funny? Do people really take their license plates with them?" He thought a hit and run meant running away on foot. Now I'm imagining all of the felons quickly unscrewing their plates before taking off.

that's like hit and run and then leaving your card.

Ah, my friend K! You said that was a bloggable event. You even gave me a fair chance to post it myself. However, I will still have to post it myself with a few more details! Hugs to you.
