Drug Co Madness

Is it just my imagination/terror or are the drug companies running amok? Today I watched one of those morning shows, don't know which one, they're all the same, and there was a couple telling the story of how their son was so affected by the drug Singulair, 17 days after starting the drug he took his own life. This is a drug regularly prescribed for asthma and allergies and obviously has more side effects than people realized.
This is so sad. These poor parents wanted the best for their boy, did what they thought they should--what the Dr. told them to do.

Sadder yet and incredibly ironic was the annoucement after the story was finished. That portion of the show was brought to us by another kind of prescription drug.

David's been on that for almost two years...did they have serious evidence? Could explain some behaviors, perhaps. I'm interested.

Z, there are stories and articles all over the web. I was surprised how many there were. Give it a look.

yep I heard that though they said no one has ever committed suicide while taking the drug...guess that's not true! I think that none of them can be trusted because it's all a money game for them.

Great post Kristi! Drugs can be great, but there's so much to be wary of with any foreign chemical compound in out bodies!

Prescription medicine is scary. I'm not opposed to all of it, but it makes me nervous. How sad for those parents.
