Kelli and I were talking yesterday and she was telling me that she was looking forward to sleeping in today. "Sleeping in" is such a relative statement. What might be sleeping in for you won't be the same for me, or for someone who is up all night, etc. People laugh at me for "sleeping in" until 7am, but when your normal rousing hour is 4am, 7 is a great time to wake!
Now, don't get me wrong, sometimes I sleep until 9am (!), but usually I have been up at three and have done some housework and then gone back to bed, or been up later the night before than is my norm.
What's sleeping in for you?

6am gets a big smile of accomplishment from me!
"You're mocking me, aren't you."

I went to bed last night at 9 and slept all the way to 11...PM.
Sleep is for sissies
oooh Mark, take it easy there. Two WHOLE hours??
Ya slug.
NOW I'm mocking you.
Yeah - I can sleep a lot. If I sleep in till 8:15 on a work day I'm in trouble. If I sleep in till 10:30 on a Saturday, I'm overslept...
I don't bother calling it "sleeping in" unless it goes at least til 11am. (Ours go to ELEVEN.) Even at 11, I usually have to force myself to get up.
Now that I'm pregnant, I can easily sleep until 2 or 3, no problem.
I am a champion sleeper. Richard says so.
I'll help add to your comment count! No prob! I am good if Jer lets me sleep till 8:30 on Saturdays, It lasts me one week- till the next Saturday, Mind you I am up 5-6 times a night with baby girl. L.
sleeping in used to mean until i woke up naturally (with an alarm) now I usually wake around 9 and that's sleeping in. My husband would sleep all day and all night if left alone...so sleeping in for him is like Lazarus sleeping...
Let's just say we are not morning people at our house. I wish it was easier to get up in the morning. Waking my children is like poking myself with a redhot poker. I think it's the only reason we homeschool. (not needing to get up and be on time so early in the morning).
I only sleep in at the cabin. It may be til 10:30. It happens like 4 times a year. We are like the Nafes though. We are night owls and calling us before 9 is a reason to be disliked. Call me at midnight though, thats alright. We live in a different timezone over here.
8 a.m. I don't think I could sleep in any later...not even sure when I've slept in that late..huh.
I have a list of my favorite things, and close to the top of the list is sleeping. I LOVE to sleep!! Sleeping in, afternoon naps, going to bed early, it's all good.
I have traded in my alarm clock for children. Unfortunately sleeping is not on their lists of favorite things. I have yet to find a snooze button on them.
