I'm gonna stick with the "theme" for another day. I love it when people can express themselves through art in a humorous way.
Kelli and I saw Jan Elftman's Cork Truck in the Savers parking lot one day. This is a woman with STYLE.
Then I looked on the internet and found some more:
Penny Van
Button Hearse
Spoon Truck

Here is my grandmother's old car that my cousin has now in Pasedena. He got in an accident and the hood wouldn't stay latched so he converted it...

Didja notice that all their siuts matched their cars?
Do you think they dress that way any time they drive anywhere? Or just for photo-ops?
I'm going to imagine they wear matching suits every day.
Penny guy has a gleaming closet of copper. Button man is...well, button man. And spoon guy not only wears them but plays the spoons with (not so) surprising talent and dexterity.
Don't have a photo but Matthew and I used to see a car on 94 around spaghetti junction that was covered in wedding cake toppers. We saw it at least twice that I remember always around the same spot. One time we were explaining the car to Matthew's folks, who were in the car with us, and it actually drove by a few minutes later. Honestly! Very weird!
scary the amount of time people have on their hands. but...i wonder what i would cover my minivan in if i could??? baby food jars, bottle nipples, nuks, clean disposable diapers? (nix the diapers, bad if it rains!)....
anyone seen the camera car that drives around the TCities? funny. lots of art cars were at the Mpls institute of Arts one day. wierd and fun.
We used to drive a car the we fondly called "The Christmas Car". It was green with 1 red door on each side. It also had all red interior. One Christmas we put battery operated lights in the windows. (We drove it out of necessity, not because we wanted to.) But it ran like a dream and we sold it "as is" before we moved back here from Montana.
Did it run on egg nog?
I've been thinking of covering the explorer in live chickens...
Swampy, that's gross.
How about just tar and feathers?
When I first read siuts I thought it said sluts. Ooopsies. Sorry.
