Cold

It got so cold and windy today walking into our house was a real pleasure. Mmmmmm I love to be warm.

Here are a few things I am looking forward to winter-wise:

Bright sunshine on sparkly new snow.
A foot of snow on AWANA night. (heh heh)
The look of the trees after an ice storm.
Our warm snuggly house.
How blue the sky looks in the winter.
Clear crisp nights full of stars.

I really don't like to be cold, but I like winter!

Hi, I love how you are running this blog. I just started a blog of my own and I was wondering if you would like to do a link exchange with my site. My site can be found at:

Absolutesportsreport.blogspot.com

If you want to do this, just leave a comment on my site, on any post, and I’ll link you later that night.

Thanks,
Dave

Frozen fingers
Frozen lips
Ice crunchy wet hair
Frozen car seat
Wind so cold I want to cry
You love this too?

Kristi - love your refreshing perspective on winter. I usually just go into survival mode (try to make it through by going someplace warm for at least a week) - but you're right; there's a lot of beauty in this season too.

Reegz, I think you missed the "I really don't like to be cold" part.

The cold pours in from the window above my bed but I have flannel sheets and a down comforter.

I get to warm up Cheryl's side before she gets in.

Anna and Cheryl both warm their feet on my legs.

Rosy cheeked kids and making hot chocolate.

Ice-fishing

Oh, and spending a month in Charleston, SC

Swampy, when do we leave? Wait, you didn't know that Cheryl invited all of us down for "Blogger's Month in SC"??

Who's in??

I LOVE Charleston!!
I, personally, do not like the winter. It makes me want to hibernate.
I do like a good storm, though.

Come on down to Florida when you are sick and tired of the cold, cold winter. We miss you. We be lonely in the warm, warm sun!
Look on Hobbit Travel for cheap flights.

I actually have a friend with rental properties that could hook us up, so be careful what you wish for...

Can we go in February when I'm REALLY pregnant and want to get out of here??

I just came back from Charleston-Kiawah Island to be exact. Charleston was a cool town!

I really love the words "rental property" and "hook us up" in the same sentence.

-Andy Williams Christmas songs.
-Jim Brickman discs playing while watching the snow fly.
-A good cup of Hot Cocoa (Ghirardelli, anyone?).
-reading a book by candlelight. (since it gets dark so freakin' early, you gotta save $ somewhere! HAHA)
-snuggling with my baby (hubby, not little baby!) :)

you gotta love winter if you live up here in the north!! There are beautiful expressions of God all over the winter wonderland!
(great post kristi!!)
