Ok, we give the Iowa rellies a little grief, "which cornfield is it where we take a right?" silo jokes and the like, but all in fun. Yesterday I saw a couple of things that are filed under the heading: "Only In Iowa".
While traveling on the freeway we passed a semi truck full of pigs. We laughed hard as one of the pigs stuck his snout out one of the holes in the side of the truck to say hello. I would have had a sweet picture if I would have been able to figure out the phone. Rats!
There is a town on the way to our destination that boasts they are "The Golden Buckle On The Corn Belt". OMS.
It was a pretty windy day and I had to chuckle at the "mice" (corn leaves) that skitter across the freeway.
So there are a few of my observations, we are going to the apple festival today. Stay tuned.
Oh and all you bloggers, we have a large following down here.

Oh, and all the rellies want "Kristi Noser for President" bumper stickers.

Don't know why...but Kim N.'s comment just made me laugh out loud? Hi Rellies. Enjoy the apple festival. Do they have apple brats in IA? That may just be a WI thing.
