Looking forward to next Friday. Getting out of Dodge and taking off to see the rellies. Feeling a bit of burnout at home and job so it's time for a mini vacation.
I told a lady at bowling that we were going to go to Iowa and I got a sarcastic "Whoo, IOWA!"
Now what's wrong with Iowa? There are perfectly nice people there, I know, there are lots of pigs and cornfields and pigs and some cornfields, but come on!
Whatever. I just won't invite her to go.
So there.
Man I really need to get away.

You got that right. I always feel less stressed there for some reason.
I love Iowa too...my sister lives there. Wish I could go to Iowa.
Have a blast---you deserve it! Have a safe trip.
I lived there in my formative years...ages 2 to 9. Nothing wrong with me.....have a great time.
I look forward to the windmill fields. They're as relaxing as watching fish swimming in the tank.
Wait...and the rellies, too, of course. I didn't want that to sound like I only looked forward to the windmills.
This year we're going to take off a little early and take our time going down. Lots of little places to stop (and shop!) on the way. Usually, we're in such a hurry to get there and get home that we don't stop.
Wait...not that we're NOT in a hurry to get to see the rellies...oh my stars, diggin' a hole here.
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE RELLIES!
There...sheesh.
Man, that Kelli sounds like me huh? We could be sisters or sumptin.
I haven't spent a whole lot of time in Iowa but I remember hearing my Grandpa talk about it. He grew up there and used to call it "God's country". That always made me think it was a special place!
Are ya here yet?? Can't wait!!!
Do they have the internet in Iowa?? (JK, Myra) :-) How will you maintain your addiction...?!?
Drive safe, Kristi - and enjoy!
always room for a blog fix!
Jer and I lived in Clear Lake,Iowa for 2 1/2 years when Mikayla was only one. We loved it! Down home hospitality at it's best/ LadyD
Will you be home in time for Latte?
Nope, sorry.
I love Iowa. When you get to Iowa your are almost to heaven - NEBRASKA! Turn right when you get to Des Moines and keep going until the sky is blue and the streets are gold. There is no place like Nebraska. Have a great time.
