Father,
Thank you for the awesome weather you sent yesterday. 75 sunny and breezy with a rainshower. Very nice. Thank you for the great time the Middle Schoolers had at the pool party. Thank you for the Burtons, their hospitality, and their willingness to use their home for your work. Thank you for Pastor Dave. Sending him here was one of our hugest blessings, his heart for the children shines.

Even before I was married I noticed how FCC does such an awesome job with their children. It gives me confidence now with my own two kiddos that Matthew and I'll have some help along the way. I bawl everytime the worship team consists of kids. Such hope in soooo many ways.
I was thinking the same thing last night as I was sitting out on the deck, reading in the fading warmth of the day. Nearly perfect.
I heard my son's version of a compliment on the way home, too. I'd asked if he'd had fun and he said, "I wish I could've stayed longer." I think that was a "yes". :)

I'll third that thankful prayer. The weather, the Burtons and Dave. His creation of all of the above is awesome. Let me add one more. God...thank you for Kristi, how she quietly serves, hugs with the love of Jesus and laughs out loud with his joy.
