You're Welcome

Charles Swindoll had this in his sermon yesterday, so I know I am in good company in my dislike of this response.
When you tell someone "thank you" these days, what's the response you're likely to get?
"No problem."
This is something that I have seen so often in the movies and on tv as well. Nobody says "you're welcome" anymore.
Chuck said, "Show some charm and say 'you're welcome'" I couldn't agree more. As a matter of fact, I was saying "YES!" to the radio--like he could hear me...
I don't think people always think about what they are saying. I think that this response is just a bad habit that has spread all over. Now that I have mentioned it you will probably notice it more and more. People tell me that they never noticed how many people say "no problem" until I pointed it out to them. I guess I should get a WORD POLICE badge.

Kristi Rule #22
Say "you're welcome" instead of "no problem".

I usually say, "You bet." I know I should say "Ja Sure You Betcha." Oh, Kriddi I will give You're Welcome a try.

Pat, I'm wondering if you are agreeing with me, or if you are waiting to see if I'll say no problem...
