Everyone says I have too many rules. Things I wish people would do, that they don't necessarily do, or things that I have to do (just a slight case of OCD here), or am in the habit of doing.
SO! I am going to try to give you a different "Kristi Rule" each day for a month, then if I have more, I will keep going. I know, you're all saying, "she'll have enough for a year." We will see, this should be fun...
Kristi Rule #1
You must count the steps as you go up or down.
This may be obsessive compulsive, or not, but it is a habit that in my head has turned into a rule. Good thing I don't live in a 5th floor walkup.

You have an appointment with Dr. C. R. Aisey Friday at 2:00.
Oh no I cancelled that one, and it was with Uri Nutcaze
i'm gonna start yelling out random numbers when you walk on stairs now.
We just had this very conversation with a group of people the other night. We were asking in the crowd who was or wasn't a counter. It was so funny. Jane was most amazed. She went online and found out more things about people counting things. It was like passing around a flashlight holding it under you're chin and saying, "I'm so-in-so and I am a counter..."
Ok, rescheduled you for Thursday at 3:00...with Dr. Doubt. Dr. Flip Doubt.
My brother is the same way. He can still tell you how many steps it is from the bathroom to his bedroom, from the back door to the garage, from the front door to the curb, on and on...at all the houses we've ever lived in.
He has some issues--but they don't seem to be as serious as yours.
Keep em coming, Kriddi!
How does this fit in with the rule? I have a perseverating problem and no matter how many steps I take I keep repeating the same number...2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2, or 4 4 4 4 4 4 4, or 11 11 11 11 11 11. I'm sure you get what I mean.
You'll never get up the steps.
that is hillarious!!! I always have to count the tiles on the floor in my bathroom, or the rungs on chairs, letters in words etc..... I know it's crazy why do we do that!!
We, Cbass?
