Poppers

A lot of my friends have funny stories about their children. Things they say, what they do etc. My children are older, so I have to take what comes. I told John he was to be the star of my blog today.
He called this evening for his daily catch-up on the family, and asked me how my day had gone. I told him it was some good, some ok. I don't really remember the context of the statement I made, but his response was, "Well, you don't want to throw the baby out with the dishwasher."
WHAT?
Poppers has some interesting sayings. "Thicker 'n flies" is one of my favorites, as in, "Man, the fish are thicker 'n flies in that lake." When someone has had a bad go of it he/she is "screwed, glued, and tattooed". Some of them he makes up as he goes, and some I have heard for 25 years.
When we met he promised me that I would never be bored.
Hasn't happened yet.
