Movie

I know this is traditionally Scott Nehring's domain, but I have to tell you about the movie Hannah and I watched last night. It's called "I Am David", and is probably the best movie I've seen in years. David is a boy who has been in a prison camp in Bulgaria his whole life. The movie is about his escape, and experiences in the "real world". I wanted to start the movie again as soon as it got done. I got it at the library, and have never seen it before in a store, although I'll be looking for it now, this one is a "buyer, not just a "renter". James Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ) plays a minor part. Awesome.

I got to see it at the Woodbury theater for free. A Saturday 10:00 AM free showing before it was released. It didn't do well commercially, but I still really liked it.

:)

Actually, the only thing that I thought was a little misleading was Jim Caviezel's role was very, very minor. The boy is really the focus of the entire movie. Caviezel hardly does anything.

Still a good movie!

Uh uh Joey, major part (see "last word" blog)

Yeah, his role meant something in the end, but overall, Caviezel himself hardly did any acting. I just thought they played up his role too much in previews, which I know they did because of the Passion, but still...it was all about the boy!

You're right, he didn't have a huge part, it was about the boy. I changed my wording.
