I heart NY

I don't know about the LOVE part, but the city is extremely huge, and very interesting. Here's what we saw: Started out in Times Square--the Las Vegas of NYC. , took a bus tour--very highly recommended for those of you who have a limited time in the city. We got to go to the top of the Empire State Building. That was cool, and with all the people touring the city, I expected to wait in a lot longer line. We were up and down in about an hour. Could really feel the swaying of that bugger, tho. My head was pretty woogy by the time we hit the down elevator. Oh, and all the elevators were really full, and you know how I love that! They were really fast, tho, so no biggie. Jumped back on the bus and saw Little Italy, Chinatown, and cool places like Bleecker Street, (anyone who loves Simon and Garfunkel knows that one), The Flatiron Building (that big triangle one they always show on TV), Greenwich Village, and so much great architecture. You just can't believe how different all those buildings are. A person would really have to live there for a long time to get a handle on the city--it is just so big--but we got to see a fair amount. Alex was a great tour guide. We had a wonderful day. I think I would like just a day to sit and watch the people. There are so many! Everyone is so different. You think of all those 8 million people, Think about it: EIGHT MILLION PEOPLE. The most awesome thing is that our God made them all, all so different, and all so unique. Amazing.
The best thing about the day is that Eli is no longer afraid to go to the city. He was really scared that something bad was going to happen to us. He found out that it is just a place to see different things, and have different experiences (and buy stuff!). He had a great time.
Hannah was pretty quiet most of the day. She was just taking it all in--a city girl at heart. I think she really likes the experience, and I don't doubt that she will be in a big city someday.
Ok, pretty tired now. See you later.
